Central Arizona College serves the people of Pinal County with a variety of one and two-year certificate and degree programs at five campuses and three centers throughout the County. CAC’s strong Science Division offers coursework in biology, chemistry, physics, engineering, geology, and astronomy.
Whether you dream of becoming a scientist, health professional, or engineer or need to complete a degree requirement in another field of study, you’ll find the right course to unlock the wonder and excitement of science.

CAC works with students to build pathways featuring the most appropriate coursework to achieve their goals.  They have targeted advising to STEM students through STEM advisor Carrie McIntyre. Transferable coursework encourages students who graduate from CAC to continue their education at Arizona universities. An emphasis is providing quality and affordable education to STEM students pursuing a science degree and the health care workers of tomorrow.

The CAC student-run STEM Maker Space, located on the Signal Peak Campus in Coolidge, is open to students, staff, and community members. 3D printers, a laser cutter, and a 3D scanner are available free of charge to complete personal and class projects. This Maker Space is designed to encourage first time and experienced users to become comfortable using the state-of-the-art technology and to interact with other community members in a collaborative atmosphere.

In addition, Central Arizona College is pleased to announce the construction of a new advanced science building complete with laboratory classrooms and collaborative learning species for students and science faculty. Opening this fall, the new facility is expected to serve students and community members engaged in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. This exciting news has renewed CAC's commitment to providing affordable and quality science education to Pinal County residents.
