Early Literacy Screenings: Is your child ready for Kindergarten? Get Ready to Read is an early literacy program designed to help parents ensure that young children are equipped with the fundamental skills necessary for learning to read.  The goal of Get Ready to Read is to screen children between the ages of 3-5 years, for pre-reading skills before they enter kindergarten and provide skill-strengthening activities to ensure their reading success.  Each screening takes about 10 minutes and the kids walk away with pre-reading exercises as well as a free book.
