GILBERT, AZ — Police say two people were hurt in a 2-car crash in Gilbert Sunday night.
Firefighters were called to the scene near Val Vista Road and Ray Road around 6:30 p.m.
Gilbert firefighters originally reported six people were hurt, including one person who was in critical condition.
Fire crews are on scene at Val Vista and Ray with a major motor vehicle accident. Two cars reported with heavy damage. Six reported victims, with one in critical condition. Please avoid the area.

Gilbert police say only one person was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
The cause of the collision is under investigation.
