Summer in Arizona means a pool, splash pad or lake needs to be within driving distance. The same goes for ice cream, but for this story, we're focused on pools.

One Arizona resort has been named one of the "hottest hotel pools to cool down in this summer" by Vogue magazine.

Ranked alongside hotels in Chicago, Hawaii and New York  Vogue highlighted Mountain Shadows' Hollywood history, its two 75-foot pools and on-site juice bar.

"Once a desert playground for Burt Reynolds and the Rat Pack, the Phoenix region’s Mountain Shadows Resort was recently rebuilt from the ground up," Vogue wrote.

The $100 million hotel reopened in April.
