Scottsdale's Livewire AZ has closed.

The concert venue within Scottsdale's Entertainment District held its last concert on July 3.

The venue will be renovated into a Mexican restaurant and bowling alley, confirmed Les Corieri, co-owner of Evening Entertainment Group, which owns the venue, in a statement.

"It has been a great run over the past two years hosting a variety of musical acts in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale. We have decided to take the space in a new direction," he said.

Casa Amigos, described as a "high-energy Mexican restaurant" will occupy the downstairs portion of the restaurant while Sky Lanes, a bowling alley, will be upstairs.

Renovations on both concepts will begin over the summer with plans to open in the fall.

Evening Entertainment Group recently opened Casa Anejo, a Mexican eatery at The Colony off 7th Street. They also run Sandbar Mexican Grill, Stock & Stable, Honor Amongst Thieves and Bottled Blonde.

The closure was first reported by the Phoenix New Times.
