Schnepf Farms is celebrating 50 years of growing juicy peaches at their Queen Creek farm.

The farm’s annual Peach Festival kicks off this weekend. This year’s theme is called “Paint the town Peach.”

If you haven’t been before, here are five reasons why you should go and check it out.

PEACH CINNAMON ROLLS (NOM NOM NOM)

There’s really not much more that needs to be said other than giant, fresh-made Peach-infused cinnamon rolls. You can have them for breakfast, lunch, dinner, second dinner or a snack.

The bakery also peach pie and salsa among other tasty treats. You should expect to wait in line. These treats are popular so if you have little ones who tend to be impatient you may want to order your pies ahead of time or come on a non-festival day. Learn how to pre-order pies, rolls here.

U-PICK PEACHES

You cannot leave the farm without fresh peaches at a peach festival. Schnepf Farm lets you pick your own peaches so the whole family can be a part of the process. They have six variety of peaches, but not all may be available at one time. The Farm provides bags and boxes. All you have to do is fill it up with the amount of peaches you want and then pay. See which type of peaches are available.

PEACH PANCAKES

Like the cinnamon rolls, who can say no to pancakes? Peach Pancakes will be served during the festival from 7:45 a.m. – 2 p.m. They will be served in the grill area. You get a 9” pancake (two if you order a large), sausage, fresh peaches, whip cream and a drink. Yummy!

PETTING ZOO

Yes, petting zoos are typically geared toward the little ones. Who wouldn’t geek out over feeding a goat or a deer? But it does not have to be. Adults can have some fun, too. Just be sure to respect all of the animals and wash your hands after, especially if you’re next task is picking peaches.

IT’S FREE

There is no cost to get into the festival. Families will be able to visit the grounds, the petting zoo and enjoy the sunshine for free. Obviously if you want to take any peaches or treats home, you will have to purchase those. So, it is recommended that you bring cash with you.
