Hungry? 14 new restaurants that opened in Phoenix in October

Whether you're looking for a new spot to grab a drink after work or dinner during the week, more than a dozen new restaurants opened their doors last month.

AIOLI GOURMET BURGERS

Aioli Gourmet Burgers was founded 2 1/2 years ago when three friends decided to open a food truck. They've since expanded to three Aioli food trucks (a fourth truck is Modern Tortilla, a taco truck). In October, they opened their first brick-and-mortar location near 32nd Street and Shea. View menu.

LINCOLN AND BAR 1936

Lincoln and Bar 1936 replaced BLT Steak at Scottsdale's Camelback Inn. Lincoln features modern American cuisine with a southern influence, while Bar 1936 offers whiskey-focused craft cocktails. They offer whiskey/scotch/bourbon flights, too. The kitchen is led by Chef Chris Neff. His favorite dish on the menu is the Country Fried Mary's Chicken. Read more here.

PEDAL HAUS BREWERY

Pedal Haus is not necessarily new to Mill Avenue. However, in October, it reopened after three months of extensive renovations. Owner Julian Wright said he wanted the place to feel less like a restaurant and more like a brewery that served food. He expanded the brewery, adding outdoor bungalows and expanded the outdoor seating and game area. On the inside, the dining room became more intimate. Read more.

THE CREPE CLUB

Who doesn't enjoy a butter, sugar and cinnamon filled crepe? Now you can enjoy this French cuisine at the Arizona Biltmore. They have 15 sweet and savory crepes, from Caprese to Chicken Florentine to S'Mores Nutella and Strawberry "shortcrepe" (or strawberry shortcake).

HAND CUT BURGERS AND CHOPHOUSE

Hand Cut is the latest concept from Riot Hospitality Group. During the day, it's a fast-casual burger bar, but at night it turns into a chophouse -- steaks, pork chops and other meats. The meats are said to be non-processed and non-hormone.

MARIGOLD MAISON INDIAN CUISINE

Marigold Maison first opened in Phoenix in September 2014. A second location opened in Chicago in May 2015. This year, the Phoenix location closed for renovations and updates and reopened last month. During construction, a full-service indoor and outdoor bar was added, the dining was made larger and new cocktails and Indian-inspired dishes were added to the menu.

OHYA SUSHI KOREAN KITCHEN AND BAR

Ohya Sushi who has a location in Glendale opened a second location in Scottsdale in October. They serve sushi, Korean BBQ, stir-fry and Tofu dishes.

SMASHBURGER

Smashburger opened its 21st Valley location last month. True to its name, Smashburger is known for smashing their burgers to lock in flavor. This latest location is in Mesa.

SAUCE

In October, Sauce, the fast-casual Italian restaurant chain, opened its first location in Gilbert. There are nine Sauce locations in the Valley, 13 total in the state.

RA SUSHI SCOTTSDALE

In late September, RA Sushi relocated from Kierland Commons to the Scottsdale Town Square. In October, it celebrated its grand opening. RA has six locations in Arizona and others nationwide.

RUBIO'S COASTAL GRILL

Rubio's opened a new location in Chandler. They have over 20 locations in the Valley alone.

BOBBY Q'S BBQ

It took 11 years, but in October, Bobby Q's founder Bob Sikora brought a second location to Mesa. Unlike the Phoenix location, the Mesa location will not turn into a nightclub. Instead, it has a large patio and indoor cocktail room.

WASTED GRAIN

When "World of Beer" closed in Tempe, Wasted Grain, moved in. Wasted Grain features over 30 beers on draft, TVs to catch the game and cocktails. It will also have arcade games, such as Golden Tee, Big Buck Hunter, and darts.

MATCH (INSIDE FOUND:RE PHOENIX HOTEL)

Found:Re is one of the newest hotels to Phoenix. It celebrated its grand opening at the end of October. MATCH is its cocktail bar and restaurant.
