PHOENIX — Fans of the animated TV show, Rick and Morty, have another opportunity to showcase their fandom when the "Mortymobile" drives its way into Phoenix this weekend.

Unlike the Rickmobile, which visited the Valley last year, the Mortymobile is not a pop-up store and does not sell themed merchandise. Instead, it is a four-door Mazda that has been equipped with a larger-than-life Morty figurine on its roof. And it is available for rent.

For $246, plus a security deposit, people can book the vehicle and drive it around for a day (you do have to be at least 30 years old to book). You can book, here.

It is part of a national promotional tour for Turo, the people-to-people car-sharing company where people can rent other peoples' vehicles. The Mortymobile will be available for rent in the Phoenix area between Jan. 18-25, 2020. It will then travel to San Francisco from Feb. 10-17, according to an online schedule.

There is a free public event scheduled for Friday, Jan. 17, 2020 from noon to 2 p.m. at the Alamo Drafthouse in Chandler, 4955 S. Arizona Avenue, where people will be able to take pictures with the vehicle and potentially win prizes.

According to Turo's website, the Mortymobile gets 29 miles per gallon, has five seats, and requires a clearance of at least eight feet. More information.
