PHOENIX – It’s Halloween at Riverdale High and ghosts of Riverdale past have come out to play.
Riverdale Chapter Sixty-One: Halloween has already promised some amazing costumes like Archie’s “Pureheart the Powerful,” a nod to a 1960’s collection of Archie comics where Archie is a superhero ‘pure of heart.’
However, this episode is gearing up to be one wild ride. Here’s what to expect.
Jason back from the dead?
First of all, Toni is just okay with Cheryl housing and tending to Jason Blossom’s dead body? In the trailer, Cheryl says “Jason’s ghost; he’s angry and now he’s haunting us.” Cheryl, Toni and who appears to be Rose Blossom, Cheryl’s grandma, use an ouija board to try and communicate with Jason’s spirit.
Return of the Black Hood and Gargoyle King
Is it in bad taste to dress up as two serial killers for Halloween? Duh. But Betty is seeing ghosts when she comes face to face with both the Gargoyle King and the Black Hood at Riverdale High. We can assume these are just costumes, but what isn’t fake is the apparent phone call from the Black Hood.
Archie vs the World
Archie Andrew’s costume of Pureheart the Powerful falls in line with his work to create a community center. However, those plans are hindered by some unwanted guests. Don’t forget that in the last episode Archie took on gang leader Dodger and his men, which never goes without retaliation.
