PHOENIX A professor has released his results for the best fandoms in the NFL, and guess where the Arizona Cardinals ended up!

Our Grand Canyon State football fans were number 25 on the list. It doesn’t sound too bad until you add in the fact that there were only 32 fandoms total. So, AZ we may need to pick up the slack next season.

Who made the top of the list? It is no surprise to anyone that the Dallas Cowboys have the most dedicated fandom around. The other teams in the top five were the Patriots, Eagles, Giants, and Steelers.

Taking the last spot at number 32 is the Los Angeles Rams with the Chiefs, Titans, Jaguars and Bengals just above them.

These results are based on the findings of Michael Lewis, a marketing and analytics professor at Goizueta Business School. He calculated the list by looking at three measures: Fan Equity, Social Equity, and Road Equity. He uses a statistical tool to compare data from how often fans are willing to spend money on the team, how eager they are to join groups and followings on social media, and how often they hit the road to show support. Team performance, as well as market size, was also considered in the final results.

Do you agree with the list? Should the Cardinals be ranked higher or lower? Let us know!
