Departing Arizona Secretary of State Ken Bennett says he may run again for elective office down the road but in the meantime hopes to land a job in Gov.-elect Doug Ducey's incoming administration.

Bennett ran unsuccessfully in the six-way Republican primary race for governor won by Ducey.

Bennett told the Arizona Capitol Times that he hopes his political service isn't over but that he hasn't decided for sure what he's going to do.

He says he's told Ducey he'd be interested in continued service with the state. He says he's applied to be director of the state Department of Administration but that he's also spoken with Ducey's team about other positions as well.

Bennett also said he might eventually run for governor again and that Congress is another possibility.
