Chances for monsoon storms continue into the weekend

PHOENIX - We got in on another round of monsoon action in the Valley Thursday night.

We tracked heavy rain, flooded streets, high winds and lots of lightning!

Monsoon moisture will be sticking around as we head into the weekend, keeping a slight chance of spotty showers and thunderstorms in our Valley forecast.

An Ozone Health Watch will be in effect for the Phoenix area on Friday. If you have respiratory issues, you might want to limit your time outside, or you may have difficulty breathing.

Temperatures will continue to top out in the low 100s each afternoon with early morning lows in the 80s.

Right now, it looks like we'll see another surge of moisture over the weekend increasing storm chances across our state once again.

Here in the Valley, we'll be up to a 30 percent chance of scattered storms by Sunday and Monday.
