Early Sunday evening at his annual Arians Family Foundation fundraising event at Steak 44, Arizona Cardinals coach Bruce Arians, along with wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald, shared their thoughts on the passing of fallen Phoenix police officer David Glasser and what he meant to the Birdgang.

"He was a great fan, and the Birdgang lost a great one," Arians said. "I'm very, very appreciative of what our firefighters and policemen and first responders do, and the job that they do and how tough it is, especially on their families."

The Cardinals recently met with the Glasser family, and Larry Fitzgerald described his passing as a "huge loss to Cardinal Nation."

"When you read about him and you get a chance to meet his family, you know what kind of guy he was," Fitzgerald said at Sunday's charity dinner.

"It's a huge loss for our community, it's a huge loss for the Phoenix Police Department and it's a huge loss to Cardinal Nation because we know how big a supporter he's been of ours, and obviously we're supportive of him and his family, as well."
