Phoenix police are on the hunt for a suspect who stole a woman's car with her child still inside.
The woman's silver Toyota Tundra was stolen Tuesday afternoon from the area of 51st Avenue and Indian School Road.
The woman says she got out of the truck for just a moment before the suspect jumped in and took off — not knowing that a baby was still inside.
Officials say a child was in the vehicle when it was taken, but the baby was dropped off unharmed near Camelback Road and 67th Avenue.
A man who was outside his home near where the child was left, said he saw a woman run up, leave the baby on the sidewalk and tell him, "Call the police."
Sgt. Jonathan Howard said police are still searching for the suspect and the truck with the license plate BEZ4872.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
