Nobody is exempt from the outlandish criticism of Lavar Ball, (aside from his three sons, that is).

In an interview recently with NESN in New England, Lavar Ball was asked about rumors that his son Lonzo was working out with Steve Nash, who used to be an assistant with the Los Angeles Lakers.

In his typical outspoken fashion, Lavar ignored Nash’s resume and fired insults at one of the Phoenix Suns greatest players of all time.

“I’d say no,” Ball told NESN. “The reason I say no because if he was, my son would’ve said, ‘You know what I’m working out with Steve Nash.' What Steve Nash going to teach my boy? He’s short and slow, man. Come on.”

Just as a friendly reminder to Lavar Ball, here’s a list of a few of Nash’s career highlights:

  • Two time NBA Most Valuable Player
  • Eight time NBA All-Star
  • Three time All-NBA first team
  • Five time NBA Assist Leader
  • Four time 50-40-90 club (NBA record)
