The main highway linking Phoenix and Las Vegas was closed because of a person with a gun blocking traffic for about an hour Friday.
Authorities say the suspect stopped traffic with a large vehicle, and was armed with a gun. The Nevada Highway Patrol says the person was taken into custody around 1:30 p.m. without incident.
Drivers were not able to cross into Nevada near the Hoover Dam during the incident but traffic has since reopened, according to ADOT.
The suspect's identity, and what led to the incident, has not been released.
