There is so much to pay for to get the children back in school, so our Smart Shopper team is making it as affordable as possible.
Most school uniforms look the same, but there's definitely a difference in price.
We shopped Walmart, Target and Fallas, which is also known as Factory 2-U.
Polo shirts are first on our list. The best price we could find at Target was $7, and the shirts are much cheaper at Walmart-- $4.47. But Fallas had the best price at $3.99 per shirt.
Target also has a Buy One, Get One 60 percent off Sale that ends on Saturday. That means, $26.60 will buy you five shirts—enough to get your child through the week.
At Fallas, those five polo shirts will cost you $19.95.
Next, your child will need pants to go with those shirts. Target has the highest price, $12.99 for girls’ pants, and Walmart charges $12.97. Still, Fallas stomps the competition, charging $7.99 for pants.
And Walmart has the best price for dresses, charging $9.94; you'll pay $9.99 at Fallas, and $14.99 at Target.
We found the most variety at Fallas and Target. But hands down, Fallas dominated the competition when it comes to cost.
