All the phone plans say they have the fastest speeds. But which one is really the best?
PCmag.com tested wireless plan speeds nationwide, and we were with them as they tested speeds and reliability in the Valley.
Testers went to 18 Valley locations including residential areas, shopping centers and more remote places.
The winner this year, the same as last year, Verizon. That's nationally and in the Valley.
Here, Verizon got PCmag's highest speed score at 96 out of 100. Their tests showed it took less time "to get a message back to a remote server."
PCmag.com says that's "crucial to having a fast web experience."
AT&T took second place. PCmag says their download speeds were close to Verizon.
TMobile got third in the speed test.
Sprint came in last. But Sprint could get a boost next year. PCmag.com says Phoenix is one of the initial cities where they plan to roll out 5G speeds.
