Authorities say a woman jumped from a speeding car in Phoenix while being followed by police.

Phoenix police report that on May 5 about 3:30 a.m. officers were near 27th Avenue and Indian School Road when they saw a car jump the curb and swerve around their patrol car.

As the vehicle slowed around the corner, the passenger door opened and a woman rolled from the car and crawled to the sidewalk.

The victim reportedly told police that 26-year-old Victor Dana "had cocaine and shrooms with him in the vehicle."

Police followed the car which got on the freeway and accelerated to over 100 miles per hour.

Police say the vehicle stopped on the highway and Dana jumped the median and ran across freeway traffic.

K9 officers later located Dana at a nearby apartment complex. Police allegedly found cocaine and shrooms inside the suspect's vehicle.

Dana has been charged with unlawful flight and drug possession.
