A Phoenix family had quite the surprise when they awoke to find a naked man sleeping on their patio recently.
Phoenix police say on October 1 about 3 a.m. Robert Edward Wonnell, age 34, entered a home near 35th and Northern avenues through a doggie door.
While in the house he allegedly stole cigarette lighters, canned goods, drinks, and an avocado. He then reportedly went to the patio, ate the avocado and fell asleep.
Wonnell was found naked and still sleeping in the morning.
Police say Wonnell is a registered sex offender.
Police searched the home, patio, backyard, and alley but found no clothing for Wonnell. He's been charged with burglary.
