A Mesa minister has been charged with having sex with a minor after smoking marijuana with her for several hours, according to court paperwork.

Mesa police report that on September 10, a minor teen girl was picked up by 32-year-old Ishmael Amon. Amon plays the keyboards and preaches at her church.

Collins and the girl drove on the freeways around the Valley smoking marijuana together for a couple of hours. He then allegedly took the girl to an apartment complex parking lot where they had sex.

Ten days later the girl reported the incident to police. Police say during a phone call, Collins made several admissions to having sex with the girl saying, "she could not be pregnant because it had only been a week and a half."

Collins was arrested Sunday afternoon and allegedly admitted being a minister at the church the girl attends. He also reportedly admitted to smoking marijuana with the girl, but he denied having sex with her.

Collins has been charged with using drugs with a minor and several counts of sexual conduct with a minor.
