PD: Man rams car after Goodyear road rage incident

GOODYEAR, AZ - A man rammed a car on its passenger side, where a 5-year-old child was seated, during a road rage incident.

Goodyear Police report that on March 21 two vehicles exited the I-10 Freeway at Estrella Parkway, when Cipriano Jacob Barba, 37, made threatening comments to the driver of the other car.

As they turned the corner, police say Barba was "aggressively driving through traffic to catch up to the victim."

He reportedly pulled alongside and continued to make threatening comments, before swerving into the passenger side of the victim’s car. Witnesses to the incident allegedly told police that the collision was intentional on the part of Barba.

He struck the passenger side of the victim’s car, where a 5-year-old was sitting in his car seat.

Police say the parties stopped their vehicles and separated until they arrived.

Barba has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault.
