Friday, October 13
Weird Science:  Join us on Friday the 13th for WEIRD SCIENCE! This evening will be filled with crafts and activities designed to introduce you to the weird and wacky side of the science world! And since it's so close to Halloween, COSTUMES are strongly encouraged! This event is $9 for adults and children age 13 and older. $5 for children ages 3-12. Members are free.  5:30-8:30pm. Friday, October 13
Family Friday - Robo-lab: Start your weekend off on the right gear with this fun family workshop. Activities include coding with Ozobots, building with Hexbugs, racing with Spheros and more. For ages 5-12. $8 members; $16 nonmembers. Adult included with child's admission. 5-6pm. i.d.e.a. Museum, 150 W. Pepper Pl., Mesa. 480-644-4332.

Saturday, October 14
Movies in the Desert: OdySea in the Desert Entertainment Destination in Scottsdale continues its series presented by Cox Communications and Johnny Rockets featuring an outdoor movie for families under the stars, featuring Finding Dory. The movie will begin at 6:30pm with a ninety-minute pre-movie entertainment show beginning at 5pm, consisting of music, games, and tons of prizes. Pre-Movie activities will include a Dory Meet & Greet and Photo Opportunity, Learn to Draw Dory activity, a Fish Scratch Art station, and a giveaway table with a prize wheel. Free. Food/drinks are offered for an additional price. 5-8:30pm. Odysea in the Desert, 9500 E. Via de Ventura, Scottsdale.
