Helio Basin Brewery has combined two summer favorites: ice cream and draft beer.

We're not talking beer-infused ice cream or ice cream-flavored beer (though I wouldn't be opposed to the idea).

Instead, head chef Tamara Stanger developed a menu that pairs unique ice cream flavors with the brewery's brews -- bubble gum, Mexican lime or Mesquite cherry.

All of the ice cream is made in-house and in small batches. It can take up to two days to make a batch, she said.

Watch the video in the player above to see the ice cream flavors and pairings.

Her bubble gum ice cream -- likely to be a hit with both kids and adults -- is made using those bright pink, (almost) Lego-sized Dubble Bubble gum pieces that were typically sold by the bucket.

To make it, she steeps the gum pieces to pull out the flavor and mixes that with cream and other ingredients. It's bright and pink and tastes just like the candy pieces you remember chomping on as a youngster.

The pairings include a choice of four ice cream flavors and the four corresponding beers.

Mike Conley and Dustin Hazer opened Helio Basin Brewery in 2016 near 40th Street and Thomas Road.
