Olympic gold medalist and former Arizona Wildcats softball star Jennie Finch is set to become the first woman to manage a professional baseball team.

Finch, who led UA to the 2001 Women's College World Series championship and Team USA to a gold medal in 2004, will be the guest manager of the Bridgeport (Connecticut) Bluefish on Sunday. The Bluefish play in the Liberty Division of the independent Atlantic League.

Finch, who is married to former Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher Casey Daigle, is a former pro in her own right: She previously played for the Chicago Bandits of the National Pro Fastpitch softball league.

This isn't the first time the Bluefish have had done this kind of promotion: Pete Rose was the team's manager during a game in 2014.
