Arizona Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer leaves game to be evaluated for concussion

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer left the Cards' matchup against the Los Angeles Rams after taking a hard hit on a fourth-quarter sack.

The 36-year-old Palmer was taken to the locker room after the hit to be evaluated for a concussion. He did not return to hte game. After the game, coach Bruce Arians said Palmer had entered concussion protocol.

Drew Stanton took over at quarterback in relief of Palmer, who completed 23 of 36 passes for 288 yards, one touchdown and one interception vs. the Rams.

Stanton threw two interceptions in Palmer's place as the Cards fell 17-13 to the Rams to drop to 1-3 on the season.
