Authorities now confirm a husband and wife found dead in a Sun City West home died in a murder-suicide.
Maricopa County Sheriff's officials say 87-year-old Jack Reid and 84-year-old Laverna Reid were found dead Saturday evening.
A relative of the couple called authorities and sheriff's deputies went out to the home to check on the couple's welfare.
Deputies entered the home and discovered the two bodies.
Sheriff's officials say the county medical examiner confirmed the couple's cause of death as a murder-suicide.
The manner of death wasn't immediately available Tuesday.
