No charges are expected to be filed after a stabbing at a school in Peoria.
Peoria police said a sixth-grade student at Sonoran Science Academy stabbed another student with a pencil on Tuesday morning.
The injuries were serious enough that police and fire responded to the scene. The child was stabbed in the left shoulder and treated on the scene.
The parents of the victim are not pursuing any charges.
Sonoran Science Academy is located north of 91st Avenue and Bell Road.
