Customers continue to contact ABC15 after they learned about fraudulent credit card purchases made right after dining at a Glendale business.

We attempted to get answers from the general manager of McFadden's Restaurant & Saloon right before the championship game. Since the first story aired, customers have come forward claiming the same thing happened to them.

Rae Nerio says she received a text alert from her credit card company about fraudulent purchases.

"They were done at two different Albertson's," she said. "One in Peoria and one in Glendale."

Who ever had a copy of her credit card attempted to make a $1017.29 and a $505.95 purchase at two different stores.

She says she knew her card was copied at McFadden's.

"It is a card I rarely use and other people in our party had the same problem," Nerio said.

Nerio didn't think much of it, until she learned about others who had similar problems after dining at McFadden's.

"That's what alerted me to contact you when I wasn't getting anywhere with restaurant management," Nerio said.

More victims came forward to ABC15, one discovered $1,2000 worth of fake charges on his card.

Another man discovering someone racked up a $41,000 bill onto his card.

An ABC15 photographer also became a victim after using his credit card at the restaurant.

"There have been far too many complaints for this just to be a coincidence," Nerio said.

McFadden's claims they have made changes the day after our original story aired. The restaurant via its general manager Scott McIntire released the following statement today:

"Last week McFadden’s was made aware by a few of our valued patrons that they experienced fraudulent credit card charges after they had dined at McFadden's. Even though the source of the fraud could not be pinpointed or confirmed to have come from McFadden’s credit card processing system, in order to ensure the security of our patron’s credit card information, we immediately took action to safeguard our credit card processing system in order to negate any possibility of a breach. On January 7th McFadden’s installed a new system and software that we have been assured has zero risk to our patrons when using their credit cards. McFadden’s remains committed to working with our valued patrons who experienced the fraudulent charges and will continue to work diligently with our banking institutions to investigate what may have happened."

If you find that fraud charges were made, make sure you get details from the credit card company about the purchase. Ask for the date, time and exact address as well as the location or store number where the purchase was made. Then file a police report with that information. Law enforcement will be able to identify who used your card and work to arrest them.
