A West Valley consignment store opened its doors again -- briefly -- on Friday, after customers were left with their items locked up inside the dark store.

Divine Consign abruptly shut its doors recently, packed with items inside, prompting customers to reach out to ABC15 to help get an explanation.

Calls to the listed phone number for the Glendale business reveal it's no longer in service, but a former employee did take action on Friday to help those with abandoned goods.

The worker opened the store's doors for several hours Friday afternoon to let people pick up their items, but customers are still at a loss.

"I think I've been ripped off.. or something... who knows," said Beverly, who didn't want her last name released.

ABC15 went to the listed address for the business owner, but no one answered.
