A 30-year-old man is behind bars accused of robbing and assaulting a 71-year-old man at an ATM.
The robbery happened shortly before 9 a.m. Monday, July 4, at a Chase Bank near McDowell and Dysart roads.
Police say William Schuster hit the victim on the head with an unknown object, took his cash and drove away in a red Sedan.
Schuster was taken into custody Friday at a convenience store in Peoria.
He is facing felony charges of armed robbery.
