Residents in Tempe are weighing in on a streetcar coming to the downtown area.

A public meeting is being held tonight at the Tempe Transportation Center. The public is invited to attend and learn more about the project, including plans for future contractors, public art and the project timeline. It'll also give people the opportunity to ask questions about the project.

The streetcar will travel from Rio Salado Parkway to Mill Avenue. It'll loop on Mill and Ash avenues and continue south to Apache Boulevard and east to Dorsey Lane, connecting it to the Apache Boulevard/Dorsey Lane station.

The meeting is slated for tonight in the Don Cassano Room from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. A presentation is expected to begin around 6:30.
