MCSO: Man pulls knife on Bashas' employee

Officials are looking for the suspects who left a Valley grocery store without paying and pulled a knife on an employee.

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office said on April 2 a Hispanic or Native American couple attempted to leave the Bashas' at Alma School and Riggs Roads when they were confronted by a store employee.

According to MCSO, the employee struggled over control of the grocery cart and the male suspect brandished a knife and attempted to stab the employee.

The suspects were able to leave the store with stolen merchandise.

A description of the suspect’s vehicle is unknown at this time.
