The lead defense attorney in Jodi Arias’ case announced Tuesday that he has cancer.
A surgery to remove a lump in Kirk Nurmi’s arm revealed he has Type B Lymphoma.
He is currently undergoing a series of chemotherapy treatments.
Nurmi released a book, titled “Trapped with Ms. Arias,” earlier this year.
Arias was convicted of brutally murdering former boyfriend Travis Alexander in his Mesa home. He had been stabbed 27 times, with his throat slit and a gunshot wound to the head.
