Authorities are investigating after a teen on a bicycle was hit by a vehicle around 6 p.m. Thursday.

Police and firefighters were called to the intersection of Germann Road and Ranch House Parkway, west of Power Road.

First responders said the teen, a 15-year-old boy, was riding north on Ranch House when he was hit by a vehicle traveling west on Germann.

The bicyclist suffered "multi-system trauma" and was flown to a nearby hospital, according to the Gilbert Fire Department. Police said the teen was in critical but stable condition and his injuries were not life-threatening.

Police said there are no signs of impairment for either the cyclist or the driver. Investigators were still working to determine who had the right of way when the crash occurred, police said.
