Phoenix police are investigating after one woman was killed and a second seriously injured after shots were fired in the West Valley. 

According to the police department, shortly before 2 a.m. there were calls of a shooting near 67th Avenue and Indian School Road. 

A 20-year-old man approached a resident in the area asking for help after claiming he had been shot by three unknown suspects, police said. 

Upon their arrival, police located a second individual who was also shot. 29-year-old Jennifer Perez was found in a parking lot and was pronounced dead. 

The person who contacted residents was taken to a hospital with critical injuries. 

Police are investigating the shooting. They're currently looking for two African-American males and one Hispanic man who have been identified as the suspects; no other information is available about them.
