Police have identified a man armed with a knife Wednesday night at a north Phoenix store.
According to Phoenix police, 34-year-old Joseph Dee Koetting made threats and had a knife at the Bed Bath & Beyond at Tatum and Shea boulevards around 9 p.m.
Police said he made contact with another man when he had a moment of "personal crisis."
Officers were able to negotiate with Koetting, and he was taken into custody.
Koetting was arrested for charges, including hoax, threatening, misconduct by simulating an explosive device and trespassing.
