As a brush fire near Yarnell nears full containment, residents of the fire-scorched town are returning to their normal routines.

The Daily Courier reports that residents of the town, many of whom evacuated last week, are now back home and praising the response of firefighters and other emergency responders.

Yarnell Emporium worker Helen Stratton says she can't believe another fire came through the community. A June 2013 fire in Yarnell destroyed nearly 130 homes and killed 19 members of an elite firefighting crew who got caught in the flames.

Stratton says one more blaze will be enough for her.

Many residents praised the response of emergency responders. They say evacuees were given more time to gather belongings before leaving and when they came back Arizona Public Service promptly restored electrical service.
