Authorities say human remains found in the desert in California's Riverside County are believed to be those of a Kingman, Arizona, woman who was reported missing in early May.

Kingman police say authorities will use medical records to confirm the remains' identity but that personal effects and clothing indicate they are those of 70-year-old Judith M. Wright.

Police say searchers found the remains May 31 south of Interstate 10 between Blythe and Palm Springs after a citizen reported a stuck vehicle.

Police say foul play is not suspected but that the investigation continues.

According to police, Wright had Alzheimer's disease and had not been taking her medication in the weeks leading up to her disappearance on May 6.

Authorities have canceled a Silver Alert for Wright.
