NPS searching for missing Utah man within Grand Canyon National Park

Search efforts are underway within the Grand Canyon National Park for a missing Utah man. 

According to the National Park Service, 39-year-old Michael Legus of Tooele, Utah was reported missing on Tuesday by a friend.

Authorities say Legus was last seen at Mather Point on the South Rim at 12:15 p.m. 

Legus is described as a 6 feet tall, weighing 230 pounds, with brown and gray hair and hazel eyes.

He was last seen wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and blue Levi's jeans.

NPS asks anyone who may have talked to Legus or have information on his whereabouts to call their investigative services branch at 888-653-0009.
