PD: Glendale woman awakens to man sexually abusing her in her apartment

GLENDALE, AZ - An illegal immigrant is accused of breaking into a woman's Glendale apartment and sexually abusing her.

Police report that about 1:30 a.m. on Nov. 10, Alejandro Ortiz-Soria, 33, entered a woman's apartment near 47th Avenue and Bethany Home Road. The adult female victim was sleeping when she awoke to find Soria allegedly inappropriately touching her.

The woman told him to leave several times and contacted police after he left the home.

Police say Soria may have entered the home through an unlocked door. The victim says she does not know Soria, but has seen him around the apartment complex.

Soria was arrested that same night by police and reportedly told them that he was looking for his friend who was going to fix his cell phone. He allegedly told police that the woman's pre-teen son said he could come in. The son told police that he saw Soria in the home but was asleep during the attack.

Police say Soria illegally entered and remained in the United States. He has been charged with sexual abuse.
