Police have made another arrest in a north Phoenix home invasion murder from January 29.

On June 17 Phoenix police arrested 20-year-old Angel Antonio Castillo, for his role in a home invasion and murder where one person was killed and three others were hurt.

The shooting happened at a complex near 31st and Vogel avenues near Metrocenter Mall.

Police say an 18-year-old woman pretended to be a victim of the home invasion, but in reality, she was at the party to provide information to the home invaders.

Police say four men entered the apartment firing shots, hitting three people. One of the victims returned fire with a rifle, hitting and killing one of the suspects. Castillo’s wife’s information was found on the phone of the dead suspect.

Police were able to track the first name of one of the suspects as “Angel.” Police say evidence at the scene indicated that a Gray Infinity G35 was the likely ‘getaway vehicle.” The only ‘Angel’ listed as the registered owner of that type of car was Angel Castillo.

Upon his arrest, Castillo reportedly admitted involvement as the ‘get away’ driver in the home invasion.

Castillo is being held on a $500,000 bond on charges of first-degree murder, armed robbery, and kidnapping.
