Tucson's Barrio Brewing Company is expanding northeast to Mesa.

The brewery renovated a 3,800-square-foot space at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport after the owners of Flight Deck Cafe decided to close and retire after 13 years in business, according to an airport spokesperson.

Even though it is at the airport, Barrio Brewing Company hopes to cater to not only travelers but airport employees and those at Arizona State University's Polytechnic Campus.

The 125-seat brewery is slated to open on April 29. It will have 12 beers on tap, six seasonal brews, and six regulars, according to a news release.

The hours will be Sunday - Thursday, 6 a.m. - 9 p.m., and Friday - Saturday, 6 a.m. - 11 p.m.

According to its website, owners Dennis and Tauna opened Barrio Brewing in 1991 in Tucson.
