AZ Science Center no longer free on 1st Fridays

The Arizona Science Center has dropped its monthly "Adults Night Out" event which allowed adults to explore the museum for free during First Fridays.

Instead, it is renaming the event "Science With a Twist" and moving it to the third Friday of every month.

The event is now geared toward those 21 and up and includes some more adult-themed activities.

The theme for the inaugural event is "Color Spectrum" and guests are told to wear their brightest colors

Mother Brunch Brewery will have a demonstration on the color of beer, there will be giant inflatable Twister, a DJ and adult coloring books and face painting. The Science Center will also be open for adults to explore.

It's $12 to get in. Members get a $2 discount.

The event will take place on Friday, June 17 from 6 p.m. - 10 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at azscience.org.

The science center is located at 600 W. Washington Street in downtown Phoenix.
