Ready to show-off your singing chops?
Auditions for American Idol, the resurrected singing competition now on ABC, begin this week in Orlando, Florida.
Hopefuls can audition in-person in more than 15 cities across the country, including Portland, Oregon, Charleston, South Carolina, Denver, Colorado and Omaha, Nebraska.
While open auditions will not be making a stop in Phoenix, singers can submit their auditions online.
Online auditions will be accepted until 11:59 p.m. on October 1. The video audition includes a Q&A and a singing portion. Singers need to be between 15 and 28 years old to audition, according to the show's online eligibility rules.
Ryan Seacrest will return to host the show, a role he's held since the show launched in 2002 through its last season on Fox in 2016. Singer Katy Perry will serve as one of the judges.
American Idol has launched the careers of several major stars like Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Hudson, Jordin Sparks, Chris Daughtry, and Kellie Pickler.
