OpenTable released its listing of the "top 100 hot spot restaurants in America." The list focuses on restaurants with lively atmospheres and bar scenes. Seven Arizona restaurants made the list.
Steak 44 is upscale steakhouse opened in 2014 and is located off 44th Street near Camelback Road. When you walk in, you'll see a large wall of cleavers which pays homage to the building's former tenant, Cork & Cleaver.
Steak 44 has multiple dining rooms so guests can choose the type of experience they want. There are semi-private individual booths, an open bar, and table-clothed dining room. The open kitchen lets guests see the chefs at work. The menu features 11 cuts of steak alone, but also features seafood and salads.

Don & Charlies opened in 1981 off Camelback Road near 75th Street. The restaurant's staples are BBQ baby back ribs, prime steaks and prime rib.
The walls at Don & Charlies are filled with sports memorabilia. Signed jerseys, magazine covers, baseballs and bobbleheads line the walls.

Mastro's Ocean Club is located within Scottsdale's Kierland Commons. It is located near Greenway Parkway and Scottsdale Road. It is an upscale, modern steak, chop and seafood restaurant.

Chef Matt Carter's The Mission also made OpenTable's list. The restaurant serves modern latin cuisine. The original Scottsdale location is located at 3815 N. Brown Avenue, Scottsdale AZ 85251. A location opened earlier in 2017 at Scottsdale's Kierland Commons.
Fox Restaurant Concept's Culinary Dropout at the Yard also made the list. The gastropub features a casual atmosphere with a large dining rooms and bars and serves upscale bar snacks, meats, cheeses, salads and sandwiches.
The Yard represents an outdoor gaming area for guests to enjoy. Each location varies a bit, but typically consist of outdoor yard games like cornhole, ping-pong and Jenga.

Sumo Maya Mexican-Asian Kitchen combines Mexican and Asian flavors and serves tapas-style dishes. The restaurant concept is part of the Osio Culinary Group, which also owns Local Bistro, Central Bistro and Kale and Clover. It is located near Scottsdale Road and Lincoln Drive.
Sumo Maya Mexican-Asian Kitchen recently brought on a new chef and launched its "bottomless brunch" experience. The cost is $29-$39, depending if you take part in cocktails.
