ABC15 hosts Adopt-A-Pet Weekend with PetSmart Charities

ABC15 teamed up with PetSmart Charities to save pets in Arizona this weekend.

And thanks to generous and caring Valley residents, hundreds of animals were adopted into loving homes. In fact 522 dogs, cats, puppies and kittens found new homes just on Saturday alone. Another 343 animals were adopted on Sunday for a grand total of 865 dogs, cats and small animals, according to Anita Garcia with PetSmart Charities.

The event ran Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and was held at multiple adoption locations around the Valley.

Adoption fees were substantially reduced at all locations during the event. All adoptable pets were spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
