A warning as the summer temperatures move in.
PHOENIX - With the Excessive Heat Warning for the Valley on Sunday, we took action to see what the temperatures were like inside your car.
Starting with the car parked in the shade, it was 98 degrees inside the vehicle. Once the car was moved into the sun, the car interior warmed to 110 in 30 minutes.
It was up to 116 in an hour, and was 123 degrees in just two hours!
Even after the sun went down and the outside temperature dropped to 95, the inside of the car was still 103.
This experiment was a good reminder not to leave children, pets or combustibles inside your car this summer.
