MOST ACCURATE FORECAST: Rain continues as the weekend wraps up

Updated: 2019-12-08 21:40:27-05

Rain has been impacting western Arizona since last night and scattered showers will stay in the Valley tonight through early Monday.

Saturday, Phoenix Sky Harbor registered 0.10" of rain but several Valley cities picked up more than a quarter-inch of rain with Scottsdale coming close to half an inch!

Clouds will stick around today keeping temperatures in the upper 60s.

The rain and snowmelt in the Tonto Basin has caused Tonto Creek to rise quickly, prompting a Flood Warning until 7:15 PM Monday. Remember, a Flood Warning means flooding is imminent or occurring.

A Flash Flood Watch also remains in effect through Tuesday for the Tonto Basin.

Snowfall up north remains light with this storm but will mix in with rain showers later tonight.

We'll dry things out again by Tuesday and we'll stay rain-free for the rest of next week.

Valley highs will top out in the upper 60s and 70s over the next week with early morning lows in the 40s.
