There are just two freeway closures to watch out for this weekend on freeways around the Valley.
Sections of westbound Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) will be closed at times for traffic management system work. ADOT says drivers should consider alternate routes and allow extra travel time while the following weekend restrictions are in place:
Westbound Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) closed between Higley Road and Val Vista Drive from 9 p.m. Friday to 10 a.m. Saturday (Dec. 10) for installation of new overhead message sign and traffic-flow sensors. DETOUR: Consider using westbound Pecos or Germann roads as alternate routes. Traffic can enter westbound Loop 202 at Val Vista Drive.
Westbound Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) closed between Val Vista Drive and Cooper Road from 9 p.m. Saturday to 10 a.m. Sunday (Dec. 11) for installation of new overhead message sign and traffic-flow sensors. Westbound Loop 202 on-ramps at Williams Field Road and Santan Village Parkway also closed. DETOUR: Consider using westbound Pecos or Germann roads as alternate routes. Traffic can enter westbound Loop 202 at Cooper Road.
